Kia ora e te whānau!
In this, our last newsletter of 2023, we approach the end of another school year. Unfortunately, I am typing this whilst sitting at home ill with covid. Not the best way to end the year. I’m hoping I’ll be back on form to celebrate the successes of our learners at the Prizegiving on Tuesday the 12th (10 am in the Events Centre). I’m looking forward to seeing you all there!
Throughout the week, our Middle School have been challenged by the daily events of our modified Activities Week. Learn more about this later in our newsletter. Well done to those of you who have stepped up to the challenge, and thank you to our teachers for supporting such a massive event at the end of the school year.
In Junior School, we’re looking forward to the fun activities planned for Friday (by our Middle School student team), and the shared picnic and swim all afternoon. Parents, feel free to join the fun from 1.30 pm onwards. You are welcome to collect your child from the pool or field whenever they are ready - just check in with their teacher before you head off!
A couple of ‘Heads Up’ comments: → End-of-Year Reports for students in Years 1-10 will be sent via the parent portal next week - these reports show an indication of junior class placement for 2023. → Join us for our Prizegiving on Tuesday, 12th December at 10 am in the Events Centre. → The school office re-opens after the summer break on Monday, January 29th.
Best wishes for a fabulous summer break - enjoy the time with your young people - they grow so fast! Meri Kirihmete!
He waka eke noa,
Kate Staniford Tumuaki | Principal
