These last two weeks of term are a chance to reflect and celebrate.
We have been able to celebrate with our NCEA students from 2021 with our modified Achievers Assemblies being held under 'the bubble' during tutor time.
With 100 x Year 11 students achieving Merit or Excellence Endorsements and another 100 + gaining achieved, receiving Merit or Excellence Badges and certificates, it has been a great chance to acknowledge these excellent achievements, overcoming last year's covid disruption.

In the last week of term, we celebrate 51 x Year 12 NCEA students who gained Merit and Excellence Endorsements, a total of 130 students received their certificates.
Academic Achievement is our core business and being able to celebrate with our students and recognise the effort that was put in by our students, teachers, family and whanau under Cover conditions in 2021 is one of our key pillars.
Students who achieved one or more of 12 Academic Subject Scholarships this year have also been recognised with gifts sent out this term.
These students were in the top 3% in New Zealand for their NCEA results.

The chance to reflect on the opportunities that have occurred this term where we made connections to welcome and strengthen the learning links with family and whanau are ongoing.

This week Term 1 Report Cards are being issued. The purpose of these is to inform you all about the level of engagement that your son, daughter, tamariki or mokopuna has had over this term. We will follow this up with the reestablishment of Weekly Report Cards to maintain those connections with you from the beginning of term 2 onwards.

Our online 'meet the parent/whanau' opportunities with year 9 classes, online Hui, and Fono have all been part of our connections in these covid times.
We continue to work hard on maintaining the importance of our Three Pillars, - students who have high expectations of themselves to be the best they can be, our teachers who have high expectations of themselves and their students, and our parent/whanau community who are informed, included and involved in the learning journey of their children.
