This week and next week are the peak times for acknowledging success here at the College prior to the external exams. When we look at success, we celebrate academic progress, cultural progress, sporting progress and the manawanui the Year 13 graduates.
Success in these domains suggests that our rangatahi possess enduring positive mental habits, enabling them to effectively navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The social cohesion and face to face networks each student now has, will allow them to have what we call 'Aroha with Expectation' where they show caring and empathy but also the expectation on themselves to be 'Better Than Before' (BTB)
Some of the peak celebration times are;
- Sports Awards evenings
- Arts N Culture Awards evenings
- Mana Māori Awards evenings
- Pasifika Awards evenings
- Senior Prize Giving
To be able to share these successes with you, as our parent whānau community, only adds to the social network that will keep our students and community strong and prepared for their next year with confidence.
