How Are We Doing?

As we come to the approximate midpoint of the academic year, the next few weeks offer the chance to review, reflect and make changes for the rest of the year.
Nearly all students from Years 9 - 13 will have completed some Summative Assessments in the past few weeks.
For Years 9 & 10 it has been Progressive Achievement Tests (PATs) in Reading Comprehension and Maths. These are national moderated tests that benchmark each student with every other student in that age range in the country that also does these tests. It gives us a Stanine Range Score from 1 - 9 for each student. We do this testing in Year 9 and twice in year 10 to see how students are progressing in preparation for NCEA. These results will be shared with family and whānau.

For Years 10, 11, & 12 students we have been testing the NCEA Literacy and Numeracy Achievement Standards which all students must achieve to gain NCEA. We have had over 700 students complete these tests this week and last week. These tests are marked and moderated at a national level with results sent to us in August.
Years 11, 12 & 13 students will now all have completed some Achievement Standards with results sent out in next week's upcoming NCEA updates for all to monitor progress.

Assessment Week also occurs on 17/6  in week 9 with Parent/Student Subject Report Evenings on Thursday 20/6/24 and Tuesday 25/6/24.
Take every opportunity to reflect on results so far and then plan your next steps to be 'Better than Before'.
