Grasp the Positive Opportunities of Term One |
Term 1 focuses on celebrating positive opportunities and recognition, particularly in academic, sports, and cultural activities.
Academically - This Wednesday and Thursday evenings, we will honor the Year 12 and 13 Academic Achievers together with their families and whānau. We celebrate their hard work in 2024, which has provided a strong foundation of Level 1 and Level 2 academic achievements for a successful 2025. Congratulations to all, and we look forward to recognizing your accomplishments!
Culturally - we have two exciting opportunities: Polyfest and the School Show (Mama Mia). Students are encouraged to participate in the Show or get involved with various cultural groups that will meet and train after school this term in preparation for these wonderful events. The work for the Show will also continue into term 2.
Sporting - The College staff are organizing winter sports teams for all students, with a special focus on our junior athletes. We offer teams in various sports, including Netball, Rugby, Football, Basketball, and Badminton, among others. There is a place for everyone, whether you're looking for highly competitive teams or more relaxed, active competition. Our highly competitive teams provide an opportunity for students with specific skills in these sports to showcase their talents and excel. We encourage all students to develop their skills and be part of a team.
These positive opportunities are available for all students to connect and engage with our College learning community to be Better Than Before (BTB). As a student, reach out and grab these positive opportunities. As a parent, encourage your son, daughter, and mokopuna to get involved so that their connections are stronger.
