Today we acknowledge the passing of Queen Elizabeth the Second.
Many words of description will be bestowed upon her but for me the word is Mana. Mana is earned and inherited. Queen Elizabeth inherited mana from her father, King George, who passed his mana on to her in 1952. The Queen cherished this mana and strengthened its status in our global community.
For our young people, she should be considered the greatest influencer of our time. All for the good of people and ensuring we could be better than before. She has influenced 15 British Prime Ministers starting from Winston Churchill to Liz Truss who was sworn in by the Queen only days ago. She has overseen the reshaping of the Dominion to the Commonwealth of Countries with either her as the Head of State or to their development into independent countries but with a link back to the best values of the commonwealth countries. For 70 years she has represented public service like no one else. As our Prime Minister stated, she has espoused the characteristics and values of courage, consistency, and confidence we all seek in a leader. Liz Truss has called her the rock that modern Britain is shaped on. Sir Keir Starmer stated that the Queen stood for what united both England and the Commonwealth.
As this moment in history transpires, take the opportunity to acknowledge a life dedicated to service and take on board with you a few her values and behaviour so that we can positively influence others. That would show the greatest respect for the mana of Queen Elizabeth the Second as her mana is passed on.
God save the King.
