Waitākere College moves to our Stage Three Omicron Response from Monday (March 7th).
Our goal is to remain open for our tamariki and mokopuna.
We do this because evidence shows that our students, teachers, family and whanau have a more positive journey with the establishment of positive learning routines. Again, this is so important for our teenagers; the chance to participate in the ‘real’ social network improves our overall hauora.
There is also very little evidence of the spread of Covid-19 within the school as we follow proven prevention protocols.
As outlined in our recent newsletter, we have been operating under Waitākere College Stage Two which copes with up to 20 teachers away per day. We are now experiencing 25 + teachers away daily.
Now, we have to move to the next stage of our plan, Waitākere College Stage Three, which starts on Monday 7th March (Day 3 of the timetable).
