Gratitude

Are we there yet? - Yes!

With two school days left, I want to thank our students, staff and parent whānau community for a very fulfilling year. It's a chance to reflect on the things that I, and we as a College are grateful for in this community. Some of these are;

• The generosity of our community after the ravages of storms in term 1 to our students in the form of funds, clothes, uniforms and general aroha.
  
• Our actual daily attendance averaged 86% in Terms 3 & 4 - our 1st uninterrupted terms since 2019.
• The continued contribution of teachers and staff to extra events such as sports, cultural activities, holiday tutorials and weekly tutorials making a positive difference for our rangatahi.
• The continued trust of our parent whānau community to engage with us for the best outcomes for their children. 
  
  

We end the year next Tuesday with the Big Day In and a House Haka competition followed by a School Haka.
It has been so good to acknowledge our year 9 and year 10 students at their prizegivings this week with their peers, family and whānau. Hard work and achievement gain public acknowledgement here, and I know personal pride for the work that each student has put in on their learning journey this year.
