Busy Times

As we move into the last two weeks of the year, many elements need to align for 2025 to be successful. We also have to ensure that the end of year for our junior school is completed, consistent and the students have consistency over these last weeks.

Year 10 students will begin the Year 10 camps to the Coromandel on Tuesday, with two 3-night and 4-day camp experiences under canvas. These camps are preceded by the Year 10 Prizegiving on Monday 25/11/12 at 9 am.
Year 10 will also complete their Progressive Assessment Tests (PAT) in Literacy and Numeracy, so that both the college and parents can be informed of their academic progress in these areas over the last two years.

Year 9 students will complete their Year 9 programs, with some starting introductory topics for Year 10. Their PAT will be done in February 2025 and again in November 2025.
Year 9 Prizegiving is on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 9 am, with the college's final day on Thursday, December 5, 2024, featuring our Big Day In and School Haka.

We have a full roll for 2025, and staff have been appointed in preparation for our students. There is a national shortage of teachers, but we have been fortunate to appoint a range of NZ-trained teachers, as well as Canadian, South African, and Fijian teachers, to ensure we have highly skilled educators in place for our students' learning.
While all this is happening we are moving departments into our 16 new temporary buildings on the field in preparation to hit the ground running when we start up in late January.

Busy times but positive progress.

Ngā mihi
