From the Principal |
Kia ora koutou,
A highlight for Mangakōtukutuku College over the last fortnight was the Pasifika Festival Assembly. Beautiful students doing beautiful dancing and having lots of fun. It was wonderful to have the students and teachers from Patricia Avenue School join us for the occasion. We look forward to seeing more of our lovely neighbours.
SENIOR SCHOOL AND NCEA
With the Literacy and numeracy testing coming up and the mock exams coming up we have set up a senior school taskforce to interview all our students and to put in place an individual plan for every one of them. Please ask your student whether they have been interviewed and what their plan is for the rest of the year.
WISDOM FROM OUR ACADEMIC COUNCIL
Here are two tips from our students who are in the Academic Council:
1. Don’t go on social media before studying. It puts you in a lazy mindset and it’s hard to refocus. 2. Physical exercise is a rest from mental exercise.
Good advice I reckon - You could reinforce these tips with your students at home.
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT
A number of senior students achieved Excellence in their Internal Assessments during Terms One and Two. Congratulations to you all. Please click on the link below to view the names of these students:
