Kia ora koutou,
It is hard to believe but we are now in the final week of the 2022 school year.
Despite some challenges throughout the year, including Covid, I am very pleased with the current state of Orewa College.
It is important to be constantly evaluating the college’s effectiveness and your feedback regarding this is extremely valuable and much appreciated.
2023 promises to be an exciting year, due to the following:
-
Fully staffed
-
College roll increasing to 2000
-
70 International Students starting in 2023
-
New classroom block being built
-
Introduction of Academic Conferences
Currently the Board of Trustees is exploring avenues of sponsorship which will support our students to fulfil their potential in the extracurricular areas of the college. If you are interested in providing sponsorship or discussing this further, please let me know. Further opportunities regarding this will be communicated at the start of the 2023 school year.
I look forward to seeing you at the Year 7-10 prizegivings this week, as we celebrate the achievements of our students.
Thank you for your ongoing support this year which has been much appreciated.
I wish you a relaxing and enjoyable summer break and look forward to seeing you again in 2023
Ngā mihi
