Work in the 'present' to ensure a certain future.

We still have four weeks left in term 3.

The college is actively preparing for the future, focusing on student courses, staff recruitment and delivery of new classrooms and buildings to accommodate next year's students. Additionally, there's the implementation of NCEA changes for NCEA Level 1 next year.
At the same time, our main focus is on academic achievement for our Year 11- 13 students as well as literacy and numeracy growth in our junior school.

I am still a believer in the KISS plan for our students. Keep It Simple Students. To be successful over these next four weeks, every student must;

  • Be present consistently at every class.
  • Use their planner to know what lessons are on each day.
  • Know the topics that are being assessed/tested.
  • Know when the work is due - what day the assessment/test is on.
  • Know where & when the tutorials are happening in each topic.
  • Steer clear of distractions from phone/internet during classroom learning time.
  • Adjust your focus from social priorities to learning priorities in order to effectively meet deadlines and improve test preparation.

Embrace the present moment and fully engage in daily learning opportunities. By tackling tasks and preparing ahead, you can prevent future procrastination and reduce stress. Chip away at learning, gaining knowledge, and accomplishing tasks.
Working now in the present, will provide certainty for you and secure a more positive future.
