Success in its many forms |
Our core goal as a secondary school is ensure our young adults leaving our college are prepared for their next journey, whatever that may be. We want our students to be positive young people, share good values that reflect our community, appreciate the importance of honesty, reliability and have a positive work ethic.
There are many indicators of success to confirm we are on the right path and we look for many ways to celebrate the success of our students as they grow to become positive future citizens. We've recently celebrated with our students and their whānau in events that recognise various achievements. A few of these include: The culmination of winter sports competitions involving over 600 students throughout the season.
- Students competing in the Auckland Classics and Geography competitions
- The magnificent dance showcase performance for Year 11, 12 & 13 students.
- 5 sports teams representing the college in the pinnacle of the Winter Sports Tournament.
- Students competing in the Auckland Mathex competition.
While our core business is academic achievement, which is ever present and will have an even sharper focus starting with assessment week on Friday 8th September, these events and celebrations enrich our students and acknowledge their many strengths that they will carry with them as they become members of our wider community.
I encourage us all to continue to look for ways to recognise success and celebrate it to inspire this future generation to be the best they can be.
