Maintaining high expectations in term 4

Term 4 has started with energy and enthusiasm. There is much to do to ensure 2023 is a success. Teachers and students are focussed to ensure we get that 'Achievement For All' - our school motto, to which we all aspire.

For our seniors it is about getting as many of the right credits as possible so they can progress into Year 12 & 13 with confidence. For Year 13 it is the correct ticket into tertiary pathways or high end apprenticeships. For our Year 10 students, it is the challenge of an assessment with common assessment tasks (CAT) in week 4 on Maths and Literacy.
Our Year 9 and 10 attendance remains above 90% ensuring that these students continue to build their base of knowledge and skills in these dynamic years.
Maintaining high expectations, supporting each other, preparing and completing all assessments is the key to 'Achievement For All.'
Here are some ways we can all maintain high expectations this term;

  • Weekly Attendance Reports issued by email.
  • Weekly NCEA Reports issued by email.
  • Weekly Tutorials for external preparation by subject teachers and Nu'u Toa

These allow us all to be involved, informed and included at this time of the year.
